A windy February day and 14 students from Newton Rigg brave the cold to study:

Genetic defects in Sheep:

Split four horns in Hebrideans
Checking Grey Faced Dartmoors for black spots and fleece quality

Pregnancy detection in cows:

selecting a cow
cow in crush
Maneuvering cow into crush to be inspected by the vet
The vet performs a both a manual examination and electronic (scan) of the cow and to check if she is in calf
